Hi! 👋 I’m Gina, and I live in Cape Breton South. People from our local area came together to form Cape Breton South Recruiting for Health, which is a non-profit community organization that aims to attract and retain healthcare professionals. I’m the Program Director and the main contact.
My friend Tod, who you might know from the Internet, and his lovely wife, Jocelyn, started a movement to invite American healthcare workers to Canada, and hundreds have jumped on board with curiosity and enthusiasm.
Now, several others - including us! - have joined the movement in trying to attract healthcare workers to our own regions of Canada.
We’re not a government program or a recruiting agency. We’re a community organization made up of regular people: neighbours, families, and local volunteers who believe that great care begins with belonging.
